Finlay’s Fund aims to provide financial support to Finlay Sangster and his family to ensure he has the best therapy and equipment to make daily life more accessible.

The Fund was formed in 2009 after the success of a one off event and the realisation that disabled equipment and therapy costs were beyond the reach of Finlay’s parents.

The Fund committee was quickly formed with volunteers who were keen to see Finlay thrive by providing him with the best!

finlay sangster

Finlay made his appearance in October 2005; he was born 12 weeks premature weighing just 2lb 12oz. As a result of his prematurity he was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy shortly after his first birthday. The nature of his disability affects all four limbs and his independence and mobility are greatly hindered. Finlay doesn’t let his disability define him; he is a bright sociable young man who aims to live life to the full.

the committee

The Committee is made up of dedicated volunteers who have a keen interest in Finlay’s development and wellbeing. We hold an AGM in March and meet 3 to 4 times a year to plan events and agree on fund spending. In addition to the committee we have a wonderful group of non-committee members who give up their time and volunteer to ensure the smooth running of events.
